A visit to Starhill Gallery

I informed my family that I'll be going to Starhill Gallery at KL right after the courses talk. Mum didn't answer so I considered it a yes. Even if she wouldn't allow me to go, I'll just follow because I need to write a report about the gallery I'll be going to. Howe got a list of art exhibition or galleries from Reis. Most of it are not available anymore. The only places we know are Starhill Gallery and Lim Kok Wing University. Bah...who would want to go LKW Uni. Don't want to be the odd ones there and who knows the students there think we are spies intruding LKW territory.........lol..... Anyhow, the main reason is LKW campus is way too far...... So, we decided to go Starhill Gallery. Off we go!!

Elaine, Leo and I sat in Miki's car wherelse Ruz and Kok Kin in Howe's car along with his mom. Miki will be dropping Meng Shen somewhere along the way since his house is around. And so, the journey begins. Miki drove faster when Howe got close to her. Howe's mum restricted him from driving fast on highways. We reached Starhill about 6.30pm. Apparently, there was some party going on at the gallery. Ruz and the others got chased out by the staff. We had no choice but to find another entrance to the gallery. Coincidently, we met an ex-lecturer from TOA and his painting is displayed in the gallery. One of the paintings I like the most in there.

Howe's mum had to rushed back for her date. We had not choice but to wait for her. Miki didn't want to leave us there so invited us over to her house. They agreed to it and sat in her car. I was like WHATT!!?? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? 7 ppl in the car wei??? At most, I experienced 6 ppl in the car. That is 4 girls at back seat. I find it tight for me and my family members. This time really break the record. Believe it or not 5 at back seat!!! I repeat 5 people!! 7 people in ONE car. Ruz and I had to squeezed in. *head knocks the car ceiling* This is crazy.....we had to bend our heads from blocking Miki's view and avoid police catch us =p.

Stayed at Miki's house for quite awhile before heading to Leisure Mall for dinner. Howe, Ruz and KK were having fun wearing Miki's kimono or yukata. They took turns to hold her katana too. Heavy.......but not to worry....the blade is blunt. Her nicely done bathroom is inside her closet, the most modern part I could fin in her house and I got locked in there with.......=3. Lemme out!!!

I received many calls from my family that night. Asking me when I'm coming home and scolded me for following them. "WHY" question doesn't apply to them. They refused to give me a relevant answer and kept saying the same thing. Anyhow, I didn't lie about going out for assignment just that I had some fun after the visit. I reached home at 11pm. Is that considered late? I enjoyed it the most as this is my first night outing with my friends. Happy to be able to spent time with you all. Yes....doing all crazeeeee stuff. Hopefully we will have more in sometime later.....and HOPEFULLY I can join you guys (prays hard everyday).

Insectopia

I see TWO cockroaches in my room. The other day in my living room. Not just any ordinary cockroaches, it can fly!! *rolls a newspaper and WHACK!* or *spray with Shieldtox* Dun play dead. I know you are still ALIVE. E-x-t-e-r-m-i-n-a-t-e any insects you come across.

I did mention bees appear near any light source outside or inside my house by 6am. I got stung once when a bee still flying around in my room. Hurts a bit and it leaves its sting in my finger(Ouchies >.<). Where on earth did they come from? Can't exterminate them......whole swamp of bees will come flying at you. Get ready your suits people!. Bah.......just OFF THE LIGHTS.

Never knew a wasp or bee about 2 inch big built a nest near my main entrance. The nest is too small for it to fit in. Can see its butt sticking out (Yuck!). Grandparents destroyed its nest 3 TIMES. Finally, the wasp or bee didnt come back after the third time. It flew somewhere........shoo shoo! Dun come back here anymore. I conclude......

Exploration week starting on Monday. A not-so enjoyable week for me. Lecturers giving home assignments to keep us busy. Not many compared to last semester but could take up time to complete when you ran out of ideas to start any of them. I am totally blank right now...... *silence* *hear clock ticking* *staring at the laptop* yes......that's why I'm blogging now. My ex-high school teacher used to say this: the more you write, the more you can improve in your writing skills.

Last Tuesday, I went to college my usual time eventhough com skill class starts in the afternoon. Met up with Leonard and Ruz then KJ, Ivan, Gideon and Zhan Yang on the way to attend a short brief on Samsung competition. Apparently, only a few of us appeared. It was suppose to be compulsory for all Year 1 Semester 2 students to join but not many knew of this competition. I only found out last night. Round of applause to my dear CD085-3 class!!! Having the most number of students to turn up. woots! Had lunch at the vegetarian restaurant. The food there not bad....but......though Seafood Fried Rice tastes good, the portion is too small for me!!! I'm still hungry...

Chong Sern was dead tired. He can barely keep his eyes open. He came back from his trip around midnight. E1 and E2 combined just for the day and we sorta made too much noise. Sorry about that sir =/. Caused for headache for you. He briefed us on our last group presentation. We are given choices to choose between Bruce Barton style and Rosser Reeves style. Bruce Barton emphasizes more on negativity, bringing up stories to dramatise the scenario and propose a solution to solve the particular issue. On the other hand, Rosser Reeves focus on one concept: unique selling proposition. In short, something that can't be found in other products than yours. Being the only product that has it. It also applies to exclusive hotels or restaurants with special priviledges. Cousin bro recommended a chinese restaurant to me. I've looked through the website. The website provides a short info of the restaurant, menu list, promotions and nice pictures. Very shanghai-ish. Unique in a way. Might be using that for the advertisement. Hope you have a good rest sir. You won't be seeing us for a week XD

Some random post......remembered I had lunch with my friends at Sunway Pyramid. Wanted to change spot to eat. Really bored with Ming Tien's food. We walked to Asian Avenue to check for new spot to eat..... decided at Station Kopitiam. Kok Jing and I got tricked by the picture of pattaya fried rice. The egg served is not like what we saw in the picture. Wanted to complain but too bad we ate it already =x. Ruz helped me to buy takoyaki. Rm4 for 3 octopussss XD.

I met up with my Hannah and Wing Yann at Sunway Pyramid after Calligraphy class. Gave them really big HUG. Aww.....how much I misses them. It's been months I haven't seen them. They let me decide where to eat as long they don't need to spend more than RM20 per person. So....I decided to have lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. We three ordered Fish & Chips. One of the so-called set lunch with a free lime water. Paid around RM14.90+ each. Continued girl talk, chit-chatting and anything we can think of to talk about.

Accompanied Wing Yann to shop presents for her parents. She bought polo shirts for her them. They couldn't stay long because have to go back to study for their finals soon. Bid them farewell and went to look for Leo at Ming Tien. Wish you guys good luck for your final exams. Let's have a reunion end of the year alright? =D

my advertisements =)

My first presentation for 2nd semester was a group presentation. The advertisement is made based on Claude Hopkin style. My product is a vitamin water, a nutrient water-based drink. I took really really really long to make this advertisement. I must admit the idea was kinda last minute. But, it turn out well and Chong Sern likes it =) It gives the magazine feel~

Gotten myself 7.5/10 for advertisement design (yay!) and presentation dropped this semester 2.5/5. Added up I got 10 out of 15. Disappointed in presentation skills. Spend too much time making the ad. sigh...gonna work on it.....

As for 2nd presentation, it is done individually. This time followed Helen Resor style of making advertisement. She's the first to add celebrity endorsement along with testimonials in the ad to promote the product well. Helen Resor's advertisement mostly sells the SOFTNESS, ROMANCE, GLAMOROUS and SEX APPEAL. That's why I've chose Marilyn Monroe for her glamorous looks. Made the background in such that she is on stage performing much needed the Glamorous fragrance to boost her confidence and make her more glamour~

And so......remained 7.5 for advertisement and a 3 for presentation total up 10.5 out of 15. Improved by 0.5 mark.

One more presentation to go. Who will be my next partner? ; )

My ex-tuitionmate called me on one of the Friday nights to attend Ain's open house the next day. Well...I asked "Why doesn't she call me to invite me instead asking you to ask me?" He replied "Lke you will remember her. You have such bad memory." OK.........true enough =p. I can't recall how she looks like. Sorry! The following day, there was replacement Figure class ends at 5 pm. I was late about an hour for her open house. Leonard with KJ in the car drove me back home, left my bag in my house then dropped me at Ain's place. One problem.....I lead Leo to my friend's house and he doesn't know how to go back to his place from my area. I repeatedly gave them directions on how to get back to the main road. I was so worried. They stared blankly at me! *knocks both of you guys head* Hopefully, Leo and KJ find their way out....

She invited few of our ex-tuitionmates. Reunion man........when was the last time I see you guys? Before SPM? This will be the first and the last (probably) I'll be seeing her. She's flying to Egypt to study medicine for 6 years. That's way too long........I probably got a job by then and making some money XD. There isn't much variety of food at her house. Just some spaghetti with some homecooked sauce, curry chicken, yam, and SATAY!!!!! I almost ate 20 sticks of satay about to have more but Win Ceok wants to leave soon. He lives nearby my house so it's easy for him to take me home. He invited me to join him to play snooker and also belanja me T.G.I Fridays for dinner. He hasn't seen me awhile eventhough we live near each other so he was thinking of having a long chat with me. I declined his offer as I have assignments to rush the coming week. ACCA & CAT Graduation Day

First of all, I know this is a really really outdated post. I'm lazy to make new updates. I blog whenever I want to. Busy with assignments......ok....excuses!! =p Back to post.

I'm always running short of cash. Not getting enough of allowance to even support me for a week! Shouted out loud in msn and somehow got Chong Sern's attention XD. He invited me to help out on the graduation day at Sunway Convention Centre. Right after Drawing 2 class, I had to rush for lunch as I took too long to finish my first life-coloured painting. Leo ate his chap fan faster than me. Why are you in a rush when I'm suppose to be the one rushing here? =p He left after accompanied me to the convention centre (missed ya =3). I met up with CS and headed to the robing room where I'll be working in there. Oh....did I mention CS was soooo yeng in the coat?? woots~! XP

There was nothing much to do at first. I took my time to walk around taking random pictures. Some graduates came to changed their gown size or collect them if those who didn't collect yesterday. You can see Sunway Lagoon outside. Not many people were playing at the lagoon. Around 4.30pm, the graduates came in to asked for assistance to wear the robe. I had to help them pin the robes on their shirts and put the hood around their shoulders, pin them with the robes so that it won't fall down. The graduation was delayed until 5pm....if I'm not mistaken. The staff were calling them down already. Sudden jobless........so empty....wander around again....followed CS and his colleagues to the VIP room to "steal" some biscuits and cookies then took a nap in the room while waiting for robes to be returned.

About 7pm, woke up by dad's call. Really annoyed at that time. He kept asking the same question not believing me that I'm working. Sis smsed me that mum coming to check on me. Well...she did come. Believe me now?? Geez! I won't leave until I complete my job. There were many robes to be hung. We get to have buffet dinner but after the ceremony is over. It'll be too late and I'll starve to death by then. CS was so kind to buy me a box set from Shihlin shop at Asian Avenue. Yummy~ Thanks sir! =)
